Empty Shoes, Difficult Steps

Empty Shoes, Difficult Steps is a collective existing of a psychology student, an anthropology teacher, and two creative industries master graduates. With this collective we try to decolonise knowledge by using co-creative methods. This collective sprung from the Nijmegen for Palestine Encampment at Radboud University. With our first project, Empty Shoes, we tried to let people embody knowledge instead of keeping to throw numbers at them. We hoped to find each other in our humanity and shared experiences. With over 450 pairs of children’s shoes, we created a line from the encampment to the CVB (College van Bestuur). After the encampment was evicted, we asked people to adopt a pair of shoes, to take care of them all together. If you want a adopt a pair still, please contact me.
